THIS SITE
- This site is designed, created, and coded by Marinus, being his first project in modern web design.
- The hosting space is generously provided by MrSlinkyMan; upon whose encouragement this site became reality.
- Design goals, when possible:
- Table-less, frameless, flash-less, 'slice'-less, image-rollover-less website.
- Use of HTML/CSS only, without 'hacks' for layout and navigation.
- Use of Flash, Java-applets, embedded players is OK if a unique piece of content is well-served by it; preference given to JavaScript solutions.
- Compliance of HTML 4 standard (for now). http://validator.w3.org/
- The photo galleries are made with Galleria, an excellent gallery viewer in JavaScript (free). http://galleria.aino.se/
- The photo zoom/viewers are made with Zoomify Express, an excellent large image viewer written in Flash (free). http://www.zoomify.com/express.htm
